What Is Coconut Island?
Coconut Island Bingo is a speedy 50-ball game that is exclusive to Gala Bingo Online. If you have been playing bingo for a while, you may recall the original version of the room that featured a tropical beach background with coconuts falling from trees that would reveal numbers.
Unfortunately, since the game’s relaunch in the summer of 2021, the room was rebuilt and the game plays on a plain blue background with the logo behind your tickets. There are no longer any unique features that differentiate it from any other 50-ball bingo room either. This means we are left with a pretty standard 50-ball game, handy if you are after a quick fix as the games usually only take 2-3 minutes to play, but if you are after some special features and extra excitement, you will be better off in a different room.
How To Play
This room is open from 10 am until midnight every day of the week. Tickets cost 5-15p each, varying with each game that is played. You will be able to purchase up to 60 tickets for each game and the prize for each is clearly displayed next to the ticket price.
Each ticket consists of 10 numbers arranged in two rows of five and you can win a prize by either completing 1 line or 2 lines which is essentially a full house.
Game options include the ability to view the number of other players waiting for 1TG or Full House, plus you can adjust the ticket dabbing and sorting from auto to manual if you prefer. You can also choose between 10 colours and 8 icons for your Dabber, as well as manually adjust the bingo sounds, music volume and caller volume.
Jackpots and Special Features
You won’t find any room-specific jackpots at Coconut Island Bingo, however, this room is linked to Gala’s Must Drop Jackpots. This gives players the chance to win one of five additional jackpots at any time! The win frequencies are as follows:
- Hourly Fixed Jackpot – £20
- Daily Fixed Jackpot – £100
- Weekly Fixed Jackpot – £250
- Monthly Progressive Jackpot – This progressive jackpot is funded by 0.5% of all ticket sales and is seeded at £25,000
- Bingo Boss Jackpot – The largest jackpot at the site, this progressive jackpot is also funded by 0.5% of all ticket sales and is seeded at £50,000
From time to time, the rooms feature special games that feature 1TG and 2TG prizes. These can be spotted in the pre-buy ticket sales by the corresponding icons that have 1TG and 2TG written on them and give players that are one and two calls away from a full house being called the chance to win extra prize money.
