What Is Day At The Races Bingo?

Day At The Races is a uniquely themed 40-ball bingo game exclusive to William Hill. This exciting horse racing room offers up to three prizes per game, 1 Cluster, House and a Day at the Races Jackpot prize. The graphics and sound effects have been well implemented too. A fanfare plays at the start of each race and whenever a player wins a prize, an animated house can be seen galloping during gameplay, and the backdrop perfectly captures the racecourse.

Although the theme is one of a kind, the actual gameplay is extremely similar to Rainbow Riches Bingo, including how the jackpot works. So, if you have played Rainbow Riches before, you may already be familiar with how this game plays.

How To Play

This game uses tickets consisting of two 4 counter clusters, with a number on each counter in the cluster. Tickets start from as little as 5p each and you can purchase up to 50 per game. The prizes offered prior to each game are the minimum amount. The actual prize will be determined by the number of tickets purchased per game. Of course, the more tickets purchased, the bigger the prize becomes.

When the game starts, the balls will be called and appear in a horseshoe. To win the 1 Cluster prize, you must be the first player to match all four numbers that are displayed in a single cluster. The house prize is won if you are the first player to match all of the numbers in both clusters on a ticket.

If two or more players fulfil the winning requirements on the same ball, the prize will be split proportionally to the stake placed by each player.

Day At The Races Jackpot

During the game, a jockey will be riding a horse at the top of the screen above your tickets. Above this rider is a set of numbers ranging from 1-50. At random, sometimes a rosette symbol is called, and depending on how many of these symbols are drawn (up to two per game), the jockey and the horse will move the same number of steps.

There are three different jackpots displayed as Trophies at various points of the track:

  • And They’re Off: 10th step on the race track
  • The Final Furlong: 25th step on the race track
  • The Winners Enclosure: 50th step on the race track

In order to win one of these prizes, you must have purchased tickets to the game when the horse lands directly on the corresponding step of the track. Each prize is split between all of the players that have purchased tickets and the value will be proportional to the amount that each player staked.

If the horse goes past a prize trophy (and does not land directly on it), then only 50% of the prize value will be paid out to the community, with the remaining 50% being split between the remaining available jackpots in the next game.
